In honor of Fourth of July, are you a pyromaniac or do you steer clear of the fireworks?
(I tend to steer clear. I prefer to let other people burn their hands off, which I guess makes me pyrophobic.
)

I love them from a distance. Mostly because they are extremely loud.
I’m with Mary. 4th of July is my favorite one-day holiday (Christmas is my favorite holiday season, but the 4th is my actual favorite DAY) – but while I adore fireworks, I adore it when someone else handles them. I’ll just watch and oooh and ahh.
Hi Sarah–I hope your summer is going well! I love fireworks, but I stay far enough away that my hands won’t get burnt.
I have a fear of fire and am a little accident prone. So it is better for others handle fireworks and I stay away!
I don’t even like handling the sparklers they’d give us when we were kids. I prefer to be a spectator (from a safe distance).
I don’t have anything to do with fireworks. Large demonstrations are beautiful to observe, from afar, but I don’t want anything to do with them up colose.
I love to watch them but from FAR away. LOL
(I can FINALLY comment here! WordPress likes me again! Yay!)
I love to watch but I stay away from them and it’s too dry here this year so hoping everybody will be careful with them.
I prefer to watch. I’m not the adventurous type when it comes to that kind of thing.
Happy 4th of July!
I don’t do them myself but I do enjoy watching. I was excited for this year because of Ella but I’m not sure if we will be able to see any with the burn ban!
We go to my in-law’s lake home and watch dozens of firework displays around the lake. It’s so much fun and beautiful! I wouldn’t light them myself – I leave that up to those who “think” they can do it.
I have to watch them waaay at a distance! They can set off a migraine for me in a skinny minute.
And I so love them! Have a wonderful 4th, Sarah!
I love to see them, but don’t like to light them off. Have a great 4th!
Yeah, I stay away from fireworks for the most part, though I like watching them from a distance sometimes. This year because of the fire ban, fireworks are not allowed (lol, I spelled that “aloud” the first time *smacks forehead*). So, we’re just going to go to a barbecue with family and relax and have fun.
We usually have a family get-together and have a firework display after dark. This year, because of the terrible drought here, I think we’re cancelling fireworks. I don’t handle the buggers either. The men in our family do that, and I’m tickled pink to let ‘em!
I don’t like it when the non-professionals are lighting them off on the street but I do go to the local display for our town.
Haha, I’m an accidental pyromaniac. Yes, I have started multiple fires accidentally…yes, the evidence of one such fire was left all over our office kitchen. Yes, my coworkers now call me Sparky.
i love fireworks…from a distance
We stick to the sparklers and whatever those things are called that pop on the sidewalk. We leave the big stuff to the professionals!
i stay clear of fireworks. I can not even stand thunderstorms!!
I used to be “the one who lit the fuse” – no anymore.
*not anymore*
I may sound like a Scrooge but I actually hate fireworks. I don’t like the noise or the dangerous aspect. I don’t mind watching the Macy’s fireworks on TV but that’s it.

I love fireworks!!! But because of all the fires in our area lately, my town has banned all home fireworks.
Definitely from a distance! lol
I enjoy watching fireworks. They are so magical and there is just something great about enjoying fireworks with family/friends!
I stay away from fireworks except for sometimes watching a large public display. I do enjoy the exploding colors but do not like the smaller firecrackers that just make noise. I don’t like the danger involved either.
total pyro, even though i’ve been burned a few times and even hit in the eye with a firecracker. love it.
I’m chicken….I run as far away as possible! I really keep my distance!
Blessings!

Hey everyone! I’ve loved reading all your responses! Sounds like most of us leave it to the professionals, except for Melissa T. and Jeannie. You two would be dangerous together, LOL!
Have a great week, everybody, and Happy 4th!
I prefer to watch them from a distance. Much safer and prettier
Distance is best, since it’s easiest to catch everything
Like watching from a distance thanks
My husband and my father are elected the official fireworks lighters in our house. I always enjoy them – in fact it’s a tradition to give my dad fireworks for his birthday.
i like to watch them, but not to set any off.
